Meet the DIYH Technicians
We believe in guaranteeing Yacht Haven's service technicians are among the industries most highly trained and qualified - and continued schooling is the foundation of that philosophy. (Yacht Haven is a Yamaha Five Star Certified Dealer.) The winter months mean our technicians head off to receive their factory training for Yamaha products, Bombardier Recreational Products and everything in the Mercury Marine line-up.
Master certified technician Carl Schmitter has logged many hours, weeks and months in classrooms from Wisconsin to Florida keeping his Mercury Outboard certification up-to-date. He also makes sure he attends continuing certification seminars for Yamaha outboards, Johnson and Evinrude E-Tec motor training throughout the year.
Brent Autore has also followed the same path to Master level and is now a fully certified Yamaha, BRP and Mercury Marine technician. Brent has been described as, "A soft-spoken, somewhat begrizzled young man with a sort of Bhuddist demeanor and a most unusually good bedside manner" - a combination that is hard to beat in a good mechanic!
